I was able to resolve this with a dremel and some scissors.

The case is very good quality otherwise; other reviews speak accurately towards its features and quality.

I was sent the old version that doesn’t have the correct cutout spacing. I was under the impression I was ordering the *new* version because that is what is advertised in the description of this page and shown in the images to the left. Pretty disappointed because of that fact. Other than that the case functions as it should and does it’s job. Although if you want a case that has the correct fit and spacing for a Raspberry Pi 2 B I would at this time look elsewhere until they dump the old stock so you are guaranteed a version that actually fits properly as per the item description.

Sleek!! The raspberry pi has a home.

Nice case but didn’t use it.

The case is protective, stylish, and works well to carry a Raspberry Pi 2. I liked it so much I bought one for each of my Pis.

Fits too snug, inserting pi is difficult, snaps together and feels like it’s breaking the board if you don’t have everything lined up perfectly. Currently looking for a better case!

Handsome case with nice fit but the top doesn’t snap on securely. Maybe I’m doing something wrong, but as it sits the top would fall off if you tilted it sideways. Pretty much defeats the purpose IMO.

I have purchased a couple of these cases now and really love them. The RPi 2 fits in like a glove and stays nice and cool. I have not added a heat sync so the misalignment of the heat sink opening hasn’t been an issue. These are perfect if you plan to carry your RPi around or want to mount it as there are two screw holes already taped in the bottom of this case.

It’s a cheap, basic, plastic enclosure for the Pi2. That’s it. But that’s exactly what I was looking for. It won’t get you to the moon or anything but it keeps the Pi2 covered. Some folks might find it may require modification if using some of the GPIO pins, but I didn’t have any need for that for the application I needed the enclosure for. Other enclosures offer that but, again, I needed a very basic enclosure and this fits the bill.

Its ok. Nothing wrong with it.

It’s awesome, works great and it is very clean looking.

There seem to be 2 different models of this case, with the middle tray part having either 1 or 2 cutouts for heatsinks over the large chips…

Of the 3 ordered, all for RPI2b’s, only one has both openings properly aligned for 2 heatsinks and the other 2 have only one opening that is not quite centered properly over the CPU.

I love this thing! It replaced an obnoxiously loud ProLiant server.

It’s running an IRC server, mysql server, http server, and an IRC bot just fine. It’s definitely slightly slower than the ProLiant, but it’s completely silent. I’d say there’s an extra 2 second delay at some points, but it’s worth it for me.

I like this case. A lot. I bought additional cases to house my growing collection of Raspberry Pi 2’s šŸ™‚ I’ve seen plenty of reviews for this case that outline the obvious benefits of it that I clearly love, so I thought I’d just mention the “irk” I have with this case that I like so much that I purchased a small army of them.

You can’t completely close the lid without making permanent modifications, and the lid isn’t “super secure” because of this situation.

I can’t over-recommend this case enough, but beware of this… oddity.

Fit is great. I saw some reviews that had problems with the Raspberry 2. It looks like that has been taken care of with the new version of this box. The only problem was that to mount the camera in the top of the lid the camera ribbon cable has to be twisted for the camera to be oriented properly for the lens to see through the hole in the Pi logo. If the logo was turned over the cable would not have to be twisted. I choose to cut away a little of the logo plastic so the cable didn’t twist.

Built a RetroPie for a gift. Loved it!

Micro sd card is a little hard to get it our without taking the whole case apart but overall good case.

Allows access to gpio pins, SD card, and has good ventilation. I had to modify mine with a Dremel to fit the RPi 2 but I see they’ve fixed that problem now.

I think I almost cracked my board trying to close the case. the ports cut-out doesn’t seem to be aligned correctly. USB port is way below the hole.

Pro’s Hides the lights a bit in a dark Theater or bedroom
Con’s The top will not snap closed

Although the case appears to fit well, mine came with scuffs on the cover. Not a huge deal, but it makes me feel as if I was sold a used product.

So, the top isn’t secure enough. It sets on there snug, but doesn’t really click in or screw down or anything…would easily come off in a backpack. Only get this case if you’re Pi is non-traveling. Five stars because it would be perfect for a stationary Pi.

It says new and improved fit for the Pi 2 but my Pi 2 still doesn’t fit in it. One corner of the top uppermost lid hits my pi directly making it impossible to push it all the way down. Additionally, probably due to the fact I can’t push the lid down all the way, I can’t plug in my power cable because the pi sits too far away from the hole and the metal part of the micro usb doesn’t reach far enough through the hole to make a connection. I always have to take my pi out of the box, plug in the cable, then set it back down into the box.

I jumped into this transaction cautiously due to the previous reviews and the customer images. I intended to use a copper heatsink with my Raspberry Pi 2 and if the case didn’t line up then I wouldn’t be able to.

Since the item title now states “New Version – Improved fit for Pi 2!”, I figured I’d give it a shot. Sure enough, it fits perfectly now. You can see in my uploaded image that there is plenty of clearance and I was easily able to use 2 heatsinks with this case.

This case is top notch. Very clean design with a perfect fit. The top pops off easily for quick access to anything you need.

Could not get the micro SD card out, had to take apart the case to get at it.

Threw it in the trash and ordered a better case.

  27. 3 out of 5

The case is Ok but the cutout for the micro sd card is not quite right had to make modifications on it.

  28. 5 out of 5

Excellent case. Snap-fit only, no screw mounts. However, this is a 3-part case. The bottom part snap-fits the Pi. The middle part covers and secures the Pi in place, while leaving the camera and CPU uncovered. The third part is the nice top.

What’s not clear is that the gap between the second and third pieces is non-optional, it’s a purposeful design to allow airflow. This is not a drawback, but rather want to ensure others are aware of this prior to purchase. Very slick design.

My only complaint is that you can’t see the power lights when the case is closed.

This is a really cool case for the pi. Yes, there are no screws that hold it together but it stays together really well. It’s a nice and tight fight. The raspberry pi 2 fits perfectly along with heat sinks. No extra dremel work needed. I added an LED to the correct gpio pins and at night it looks cool with blue light coming out of the raspberry cut out on top.
