This case is pretty good for the price. It’s light weight but not to the point of feeling flimsy. My only real complaint is it was a little tricky to get the front piece on. Although it was slotted it was very loose and hard to keep in place. All things considered I would get it again for sure!

Actually was much higher quality than I expected for the price. Plastic is machined well, and has a precise fit for the Rasberry Pi B+ AND the Raspberry Pi 2 Model B!

Ports sit flush and I had no problems with the screws as some other reviewers suggested. I just applied light pressure and screwed them in until they stopped, no stripping here.

Great case, great price, highly recommended!

If you gently tighten the screws, they will strip. The screws that hold the case together go into soft plastic, and the threads are too fine. Another review pointed this out. I assumed he had over-tightened the screws, so I was careful to *gently* tighten the screws. They never snugged up.

I really like the look and feel of this case. But…I have had to screw and unscrew the case several times (mostly to show people the new Raspberry Pi B+) and the case is starting to strip. I would just suggest you put this case on, once you are happy with the programming and setup and are ready to button it up. Not GPIO friendly, but VERY pocket friendly.

  5. 4 out of 5

This is a very sleek case that fits nicely along side my entertainment center. The case is simple and is vented on the one end to allow airflow though in the case. It does not have a cut in the case to access the GPIO/Camera/Video pins on the board like other cases, but the vented end piece can be left out if you need access to a port. I didn’t want a case with extra holes in it for my application and this is one of a very few that are closed up. This is perfect for a XBMC/Kodi or other application where you dont need access to these ports. I did like this case enough to buy a second one for the XBMC for the car for the kids. I pared it with a SanDisk Cruzer Fit low profile flash drive and Plugable USB bluetooth 4.0 with Roku 2XS remote for a slick install in the car.
The only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars is because one of the thread holes is just ever so slightly larger than the other three, and it is very easy to strip out. Either a slightly smaller hole needed to be designed, or slightly larger screws should have been supplied.

I can see why people are giving this 5 stars. The Raspberry Pi B+ fits perfectly.

Very often this type of inexpensive “project box” case is produced to shoddy tolerances. Stuff like ports and seams that don’t perfectly line up irk me.

In the JBtek, the USB and ethernet ports are absolutely flush with the back of the case. The audio/composite video jack centers perfectly in the case’s hole, and even though the HDMI port is offset slightly to the side it’s still pretty nicely lined up.

There’s no overlap along the seams on the side.

The front cover also lines up perfectly and is nice and snug. It has a cutout for access to the SD card, which again lines up perfectly. The SD card is slightly inset (~ <1mm) so it won't get pressed accidentally, but it can be easily removed with a fingernail.

I can't imagine getting a better case for this price. It's sturdy as well!

This case is good for the price. It was a bit troublesome to put together but I was doing it upside down. There are no instructions so I kept screwing it up but I’m dumb so it should be an easy setup for anybody else.

  8. 4 out of 5

It’s a good quality plastic case. It could probably sustain a drop, but it’s not so sturdy that I feel comfortable testing it. Sleek and lightweight, and provides easy access to most ports.

However, the GPIO is covered, so if you intend to use those, this is not the case for you.

Subtracted 1 star because the threads on the plastic weren’t the best, and when I screwed it one of the screws, it started spinning. I wasn’t tightening it too much, but I certainly didn’t do the remaining screws very tight, as a result.

Good simple case. Screws included for putting it together and all the holes line up. I modified my Raspberry to have a reset switch. I plan on modding this case a little to attach the reset switch, it looks like it could handle it.

Edit: I have took a drill bit and dremel tool to the case and added a reset switch. It works perfectly.

It took me a bit more force than I would have liked to insert my RPi B+ into this, but once I got it in, there was no wobbling or loose bits. The case is made of sturdy plastic, and looks great!

Very nice fitting case. Perfect for OEM applications. Plastics are smooth and well fitted. The only problem is that the screws strip easily and should be a slightly larger diameter. But this case is far better than most alternatives.

The SD is accessible from outside the case.

Good, simple case. I think it could be improved with a diagram showing how the board is supposed to be installed, as I spent a couple of minutes figuring it all out, but it wasn’t very difficult. No access to the GPIO header or any other pins on the board, but perfect for a media center or retro gaming case if you don’t need any other IO.

Two of the screw holes in the case were either already stripped, or stripped so easily I didn’t even notice (and I’m not clumsy, have built a ton of electronic gear). Still, for the price…

Great looking case for the B+. The only reason for a 4 star was one of the screw holes was stripped so the screw would not stay in. Other than that the case is perfect.

Excellent. Fits RPi B+ like a glove. Used a little eyeglasses screwdriver to assemble. Took a total of 3 minutes. Very pleased with case. Would buy again.

This is the best case yet I have used. The fit is great and it makes the RPI look awesome. The power connections is also the best I have seen. I don’t have any issues with connecting any micro-usb cable. I will be ordering more as soon as they are available.

Very satisfied with this case, especially considering the price. Everything fits nice and snug. The case easily clips together and uses 4 screws on the bottom to securely hold the case together and the Raspberry Pi B+ in place. The mesh panel on the side allows for plenty of ventilation and easy access to the micro SD card.
